Cards Golf: A Fun and Challenging Game for Two Players
Looking for a fun and engaging card game that will put your skills to the test? Look no further than Cards Golf, the exciting game where the goal is to earn as few points as possible. Similar to real golf, this card game requires strategy, skill, and a bit of luck to come out on top.
Four Cards Rules:
In Four Cards, each game consists of nine rounds. At the beginning of each round, players receive four cards face down, leaving the rest in a draw pile. One card from the draw pile is then turned face up to begin the discard pile.
Before the game begins, players can look at the two cards closest to them in their layout, but must keep them secret from their opponent. Players may not look at these cards again unless they are being discarded or scored in the game.
On their turn, players can draw a card from the draw pile and replace any of their four cards with it. Players cannot look at the card they are replacing, so it's important to remember which card was replaced. Players can also draw a card from the discard pile, but they must use it to replace a card in their layout and then discard it. Alternatively, players can choose to knock, ending their turn and moving the game on to the next player.
Scoring is based on the point values of each card, with pairs of cards worth 0 points, jokers worth -2 points, kings worth 0 points, queens and jacks worth 10 points, and every other card worth their rank. All four cards of the same value are worth -6 points.
Six Cards Rules:
In Six Cards, each game consists of nine rounds. Each player receives six cards face down, with the rest placed in a draw pile. One card is then turned face up to begin the discard pile. Players must face up two of their cards before reducing the value of their remaining cards by swapping them for lesser value cards or pairing them up in columns of cards with equal rank.
Players take turns drawing a single card from either the draw pile or discard pile. They can swap the card they draw with one of their face-down cards or simply discard it and pass their turn. The round ends when all of a player's cards are face-up.
Scoring in Six Cards is slightly different, with pairs of cards in a column worth 0 points, jokers worth -2 points, kings worth 0 points, queens and jacks worth 20 points, and every other card worth their rank.
Whether you're playing Four Cards or Six Cards, Cards Golf is a fun and exciting game that will keep you on your toes. You can play against an AI bot or challenge your friends on the same device. Plus, the ornamental backside of the cards features a traditional Ukrainian towel design, reminding us that there should be no war in Ukraine.
